... skipper and sailing instructor - probably the most friendly, dedicated and customer orientated person you will ever meet.
Currently, at the age of 47, she is an incredibly passionate professional captain and mariner, very enthusiastic to introduce the ultimate experience to the guests on board Albatross. Combining incredible sailing skills combined with her love of the sea and in depth knowledgeable of Greek islands, she shares her infectious enthusiasm about the history and culture guaranteeing a once in a life-time journey through the Greek islands.
With an in depth knowledge and experience relating not just to sailing but also to paragliding, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountaineering and touring in Austria, Switzerland, France, Monaco, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, England, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain (Tenerife), Germany, Croatia and Hawaii, Rita is now looking forward to showing you the best of Greece!
A few words from Rita: "I have been sailing and windsurfing all my life. I developed a great passion for the sea while sailing with my father and grandfather at an early age. We spent many summer months sailing, enjoying the nature and the peacefulness. I then started windsurfing professionally with a move to Hawaii. However after the birth of my son, I opened up my sailing school based in the Austrian alps at the Achensee in 2003. A second base developed in Sardegna over the years and I spent my time divided between the two countries. My true calling was to be the captain at sea. My passion for sailing spills over to my guests who learn much about wind, sailing, history and culture during our voyages through the Cyclades. I want to share the hidden coves with you, introducing you to the people of the islands and hopefully you shall take an experience home with you that will warm your heart over the frosty winter days."

Meet Adriana and Radu
... two young, passionate and dedicated people, with a great love for adventure.
They have turned their lifelong love for sea and travelling into a company meant to create once in a lifetime sailing experiences. Working as skipper and first mate, together they have clocked thousands of miles becoming the Greek island tourism experts.
The last 10 years they have been at sea daily for at least 8-9 month/year sailing, exploring and enjoying the Greek islands that they now consider their home and know them like the back of their hand.
She will focus her attention to detail from the first email to the moment you disembark and will ensure that your sail experience will be as close as possible to your wildest expectations.
Having organized hundreds of cruises and tours, Adriana has a deep understanding not only of what the clients yearn for, but also how to make sure they get it (within reason). On board, she can explain you the differences in between possible itineraries, opportunities for sightseeing / snorkeling and other extra activities at different islands as well as sailing condition in different areas. You can discuss with her your interests and expectation and you can set together an itinerary that fits best your interests but in the same time adapted to the weather conditions. Each afternoon / evening after docking at the harbor, the crew is going to take a few moments and discuss with you the options for the next day.
Adriana will also be the person answering all you emails and question regarding your sailing adventure so that you know exactly what you should expect from life on board. So feel free to ask her questions you might have regarding your days on board.
Besides being a dedicated person always focused on delivering what the customer is looking for in a safe and fun manner, along the years Radu has mastered every secret of Greek sea and is now looking forward to share them with you. Highly motivated he will go out of his way to turn your sailing cruise in a once in a life-time experience. His local knowledge ensures that you will see and experience the best of the Greek Islands.
Many of our guests refer to him as an "expert seaman" and you can be sure that from the first moments on board you will feel safe and confident it his hands. You might be surprised how skillful he can be especially when mooring in a crowded port!
Living and working in a multicultural environment, so they speak fluently English, Greek and intermediate French and Spanish.
With passion and appreciation for the sea, Adriana and Radu have also pursued our dream of diving to the professional level and we are both PADI certified as Open Water Scuba Instructor, Emergency First Response - Primary (CPR) and Secondary (First Aid) Care Instructor. However they are no longer teaching (as sailing is taking most part of their time) but if you want some tips on free diving techniques or advices at which islands you can go diving, they are happy to answer your questions.

More analytically the crew will be responsible for:
The skipper will navigate and sail the sailboat from one island to the next and also ensure the safety of the boat for all the duration of your sailing cruise. They will take care of all aspects related to sailing / anchoring and also take you ashore with the dinghy if the situation requires it (when there is no berth available at the pier thus you will be at anchor in a bay for overnight). She/he are also the technicians who will fix the problems that might arise (if possible) and finally your guides for life ashore if you are asking for a recommendation.
The working hours for the crew are maximum nine (9.00 am - 6.00 pm) out at sea, but after that they are in charge of the boat's safety, something that might keep them awake for the whole night if the circumstances require it.
