Any time is good for visiting Greece as every season has its advantages and its drawbacks.

When it´s best time to sail in Greece depends on what type of person you are and on your interests.

As a general guide:

Spring sailing

  • If you are a nature lover searching for an active sailing holiday combined with walking, trekking or even biking, the spring sailing might months are the best.
  • With and abundance of flowers and lush, green hillsides with life sprouting up from every crack the Grek islands have a special beauty in the spring months.

Summer sailing

  • If you are a party-person then you should consider visiting the Greek islands from middle June to end of August when the island nightlife is jumping and the beaches are lively.
  • However, temperatures can get quite high eespecially in July and August and winds in the Aegean blow at their fullest.

Autumn sailing

  • If you prefer to avoid the crowds wanting and searching for relaxing holidays and lots of swimming/snorkeling then autumn in the best period to visit to Greece.
  • The sea temperature is just as high as in the summer but the air temperature drops a bit to perfect temperatures around 27 degrees(81 Farenheit)
